The Malone Scholarship

A Tier One Scholarship Sponsored by Bethany Learning Academy

Inspired by the dedication homeschooling-mom, Jennifer Malone, demonstrated while teaching her daughter at home during a horrendous battle with cancer,  the Malone Scholarship is specifically awarded to a college-bound student who has homeschooled at least 4 consecutive years during his/her primary education. Mrs. Jennifer Malone passed away on May 24th, 2016 following a two-year battle with cancer. We will never replace the loss of a parent, but if we work together we can prevent additional losses in the lives of children with terminally ill parents.  Join Bethany Learning Academy's efforts--#BeTheVillage because #PeopleMatter.   If you or your company would like to contribute to this fund, include the title, "The Malone Scholarship" in the subject line of your email.  Happily, we will provide our 501(c)3 documentation for your records.

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Have homeschooled for at least 4 years during primary school.

  • Be under 24 years of age,

  • Be a high school graduate,

  • Be accepted at a university, community college, or vocational/technical school,

  • Answer yes to at least one of the following questions:

    • Do you have a parent with a terminal illness diagnosis?

    • Do you have a parent with a permanent disability rendering them unable to work?

    • Is one of your parents deceased?

  • Request an Application Packet via mail or email.

  • Write a 2 to 5-page essay on the assigned topic (TBA in your packet)

  • A list of required documents will be included in your packet.

Berean Builders Homeschooling Curriculum

Tier Three Resource sponsored by Berean Builders Publishing

What an amazing gift! Berean Builders Publisher homeschooling curriculum!

When a homeschooling student's parent becomes terminally ill or passes away, life changes drastically.  Often these students must discontinue homeschooling and enroll in public school due to the costs associated with homeschooling curriculum and resources.  Now, with this generous sponsorship, we can prevent an additional loss in the face of devastation and keep things as "normal" as possible for at least a few students.  If you are a child of a terminally ill or deceased parent or if you represent a student who has endured such loss, request an information packet to learn more about this scholarship.

If you are a donor/sponsor and you, too, would like to sponsor even more students' homeschooling curriculum through Berean Builders Publishers, contact us today and we will respond by sending the appropriate sponsorship packet.

We cannot give a parent back or take cancer away, but if we work together we can prevent additional losses.

#BeTheVillage

Thank you so much, Berean Builders Publishing, for offering this recurrent gift and being world changers!
